Cary Stamp & Company to Match Holiday Donations to Tutorial Center
Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center now accepting unwrapped gifts/donations for its Holiday Shop-A-Thon to benefit at-risk students, Friday, Dec. 11, 2015
Financial planning and wealth management organization, Cary Stamp & Company, announced this week that it will sponsor and support the Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center’s 14th annual Holiday Shop-A-Thon to benefit at-risk students. The tutorial center, located at 7187 Church Street, in Jupiter, will hold its annual event to help brighten the holidays for its children on Friday, Dec. 11. Shopping and wrapping hours are from 2:15-5 p.m.
To encourage community participation, Cary Stamp & Company will match the first $2,500 donated to the local non-profit 501(C)3 organization, which operates an after-school tutorial program for local at-risk youth. In addition to donated funds, the center will accept unwrapped gifts now through Dec. 7. For a list of needed items, visit www.ewrunnerctr.com/cause/field-trip/
“We are proud to support the children of the Edna Runner Tutorial Center,” said Cary Stamp
At the Shop-A-Thon, children with wish lists in hand enter a room full of gifts that they can select for their loved ones and one for themselves. The students are guided around the room by volunteers who help them select the perfect gift for each one on their list. Then the children take their gifts to a wrapping table, where volunteers help wrap and tag the gifts for Christmas.
“The Runner Center is a very special place, and without community involvement, most of these children would have very few holiday gifts,” Stamp added.
